The Dragon Café is a creative project based in Borough that offers a vibrant programme of art and wellbeing activities, all of which are free and open to all. It is an open-hearted space which allows us to explore mental experience and experience communal wellbeing.
The Dragon Café is delighted to present guest curators and ongoing collaborators Playing ON. Jim is the CEO of Playing ON Theatre Company. In April 2016, he produced a mental health festival at the Albany, setting up a drama group for wellbeing and directing Hearing Things by Philip Osment. He has delivered theatre programmes in mental health settings, and to the homeless, unemployed and prison communities for the National Youth Theatre.

Theatre from Life will allow you to experience how our own rich, authentic experience can create an exciting and shared imaginary world! A combination of theatre games within a safe shared space, we’ll gather real life experiences in order to enter a shared world of characters and situations while creating original theatre within a fun, creative and open-hearted environment. The Dragon Cafe is a creative project in Borough offering a vibrant programme of arts and wellbeing activities. Playing ON Theatre have delivered theatre programmes in varied settings, including The Albany, health settings around the country and the National Youth Theatre. All experience and abilities welcome.
