Michael Townsend-WilliamsAn adman turned yoga teacher and mindfulness coach, Michael is an advocate of ‘welldoing’ – leading a busy and productive life, but not at the expense of our health and wellbeing. And key to this is our breath. The crucial link between mind and body, our breath reflects what we’re dealing with at any given moment.

How do your workshops with NOW Live Events relate to being in the moment?

We can never not be in the moment. And yet it doesn’t always feel that like. We lose ourselves in thoughts and emotions and lose touch with life as it is right there in front of us. Awareness of our breath and learning how to use it as a tool to reduce stress and anxiety can bring us back to now, back to our true self.

What are you most looking forward to doing within your NOW Live Events slot?

Sharing my journey from alcoholic adman to yoga teacher, entrepreneur and writer. Seeing people realise how powerful their own breath is to transform how they feel. Experimenting with my app Breathe Sync to get us all in sync with each other.

Any tips on how the audience can best benefit from your workshop with NOW Live Events?

Come with an open mind and an open heart and try to stay that way.  If you want to follow your heart 1. Start and then 2. Keep going.
