Homecoming Yoga

Join us for an awakening yoga flow where we connect and align our heart, body and mind as we begin to explore the theme of feeling more rooted in our bodies.  The session will be a wave, starting with gentle poses, moving into strong, empowering ones and ending with deep relaxing poses. Yoga is an ancient practice from India which connects movement and breath. It means union, and is the union of the different parts of ourself as well as the union within our community. It has many benefits including increased strength, stamina and flexibility, clearer mind, and improved circulation. Suitable for beginners.

Home: A Half Day Retreat

When was the last time you took the time to go on a half day retreat? No need to go into the countryside, come and do it right here in Deptford! To begin the retreat, we will consider the question, what is home? It is the place where we live or is it a feeling within ourselves? In the world today, the very notion of home is complicated, and as humans we have a deep desire to belong somewhere. Whether you have moved around through many places in your life, or live on the same street where you grew up, we will enquire into our idea of home and the very nature of our identity through simple meditation, gentle movement and journaling. No previous experience required, open to everyone.  / Twitter
